Name: Alcatraz
Nickname: Nothing
Gender: Mare
Alliance: Luce
Breed: Lipzzaner
Age: 4
Height: 13hh
Personality: Alcatraz, though a very kindhearted mare, has a witty character with random spur-of-the-moment ideas. Being a Luce, her personality is based on kindness, but a comical bit here and there to set some horse in it's place isn't unheard of from the femme. She is very headstrong and confident, something a lot of mares wish they had; though it most times intimidates males and frustrates other females. Ah well, Alcatraz is fine with her independence, it suits her very nicely.
Appearance: Good breeding wasn't really an important detail in her family, but it just so happens she comes from a long line of pure Lipzzaner. Her body is petite yet muscular, able to carry the young mare far and wide.
Appearance Details: Pelt and tapestry is white with only faint specks of gray, while her maw and hooves are gray.
History: Alcatraz comes from a simple nomadic family that moved from the herd once she was one year of age. Her father, a proud stallion, saw fit for his family to move from their home in order to avoid the perilous winter that was fast approaching. Alcatraz, who was very young at the time, had no say in the matter and was fine with leaving. Her mother on the other hand, the heiress of the herd, was much much more reluctant to make the trek across the land. However, after convincing of sorts, they started on their journey.
All was fine until a sand storm swept over the desert that they were passing through. Alcatraz and her sister, Allegra were split from their parents during the storm. Once the weather settled the depth of the scenario set in on the twins and forced them to leave the sandy desert without their parents.
For a long time the siblings, now two years old, trekked across mountains and through forests, only to find emptiness. Sure there was foliage everywhere and plenty to feast on, but there was no other equine life. Finding this strange, the two decided to split up to search the clearing for any other horses. Alcatraz returned, Allegra did not. Keeping optimistic about the situation, the young femmora waited a few days for her sister but soon grew hopeless and moved on.
Sample Post: Obliterating the crackled leaves beneath her hooves, Alcatraz heaved her bodice over what she promised herself was the last hill for the day. Once at the peak, she looked down at the steep edge on which she could run. Yet her pillars were shaking with fatigue and her mind was begging for sleep. Nearly forcing herself over to a tree for shade, she settled her alabaster hide down and welcomed the coolness and prickly feeling of the dry grass. A soft breeze was blowing, lifting her tapestry off her rump and neck, while she fidgeted to find her perfect sleeping position. Closing her eyes momentarily, the fatale pictured her parents and sister, all grazing in a field lush with tasty flowers and green grass. Her lids popping open again she sighed, that's how it should've been.
Yet her parents were long gone and she had only the wind to keep her company, a depressing thing really. The wind was strong and a good listener, but it was mute and never made a sound, except when whistling across a tree or other obstacle. A lonely life she lived, if it hadn't been for that dreadful storm everything would be fine.
Stop living in the past, look for tomorrow.
Closing her eyes once more, a shuttering sigh escaping her, the fae was finally put to rest. Not eternally mind you, but for the night, regaining her strength and will power.
ooc;; Ick. Very 'whoa is me' almost too sappy for my liking. Oh well.
