Flying along with the powerful wind generated, Akin was creating hurricane force winds to glide himself along to the mountain. He was fuming in anger as he had just been called the one word in which Akin most hated; bloody messenger. And, by the one whom gave this retchid name to him. Hallow. "He seriously knows how to push my frigging buttons ..." Akin thought in his mind as he suddenly made the wind flick upwards so he glide vertically up the mountain side. Akin winced his eyes to slits as he screeched as loud as he could.
This was the only place in which he could really let his temper fly..literally. There were no equines living here, for now, and this place was 'technically' his. Akin soon reached to the Peak of Verkin Mountain where an opening was for him and eqiunes to rest. As he glided nearer, the black eagle made the forecful wind decrease and soon disapear. Akin stretched his two legs foreward and let his claws retract out. His talons came into contact with the rock and soon his feet. Akin made a few couple of steps forward so he was inside the cave-like feature on the montain.
Akin flapped his wings in anger once more, which made a clipping noise because the end feathers contacted. Akin then folded his wings perfectly into his side, taking a rest if it were. He sighed gently, now feeling more relaxed but still intimadated. Akin hung his head low, he knew that sometime his powers would be taken off him. No doubt about it. Hallow's reaction to him was always negative, whether or not if Akin was trying his best to be 'in his good books.' No matter how hard he tried, Akin always knew that he was the least favourite, if it were, out of all the spirits. And Akin had proof, just look at the thing retracting from his fore-head. He tried looking forward to see the horn, but with no luck. If Hallow hadn't made him a bloody messenger, Akin wouldn't be so.. annoyed. The only thing that would make Akin's temper speed out of control is being called, or told he was a messenger. "A messenger isn't supposed to be a spirits job.." Akin muttered to himself.

((Befera and I choose well when we decided on you for Akin.))
The wind whistled past a white mare. The white mane, the tips dyed black, whipped back, lashing her neck and head. The mare laced back her harks, to make sure that the wind did not get in them. She hated that feeling, of air in her ears. Why the hell was the wind blowing so bad? Black tipped tail lashed her flanks, briefly covering the black cloud and rain on her flank. The ivory vixen walked onward, still into the wind. She was freezing. This was worse than the war had been.
And then, it stopped. Her mane and tail lay flat again, she was able to open her black orbs and errect her ears back to normal. The mare paused, tilting her head in confusion. Okay, that was random. Did Verkin Mountain always have such odd weather. The vix shook her head forcefully and walked on, towards the mountian. She was not enjoying this walk.
Finally, she reached the mountain. She let her gaze travel up it, just in time to see an eagle fly into the cave at the top. Crainium tilted somewhat but she didnt trvel up the side to the cave. Instead, she walked into a cave near the bottom, it rest before heading onward. She wanted to claim this place as her own, but could not remember if she was allowed to or not. Even so, it didnt matter. A stallion would come along and she'd join his herd. Oh yes, Black Rain had it all planned out.
The fae walked deep into the cavern, near the very back. She folding her black legs and let her white body lower to the rocky earth. She looked like a beacon, sorta. Her body was a darker grey in the dim light of the cave. The vixen sighed and closed black orbs. These black eyes could cause even the meanest horse to back off from her. Rain often found herself an object of a stallion's curiousity. She did not enjoy that. She kept her head up, arching her neck slightly to rest her chin on the floor. She did not go to sleep, just rested.

[ooc; aww your too kind. =] ]
Hark. That sound... the sound in which Akin had not heard of years. The sound of, yup, a horse. Akin gasped, could it be? A horse returned to Verkin Mountain. A horse has returned to Autumn Scar. Akin strangely buzzed in excitement, but if it was a horse he had to keep cool and pretend. Pretend that perhaps this horse did not know of the curse, the spirits and the disapearance of all equines. Akin wasn't quick to hesitate to flick his body around to face the entrance again. He waddled out to the entrance on his flimsy two legs to see a white blur disapear into a cave lower down.
Perfect! Akin stretched his wings out immediatly and made a light breeze catch under-neath them. He made the wind twist outwards slightly to then form a sudden bend round to face the entrance of the lower cave. Akin focused on landing on the entrance of this other cave, he didn't want to make a bad first impresion. He repeated his steps as before, stretching his legs and retracting his claws. Akin's feet gently landed onto the rock and he took a few steps forward to ensure he was in the cave. Akin made the wind slowly enter deeper into the cave to where the white figure made it's way down.
Akin began waldling again, this time in the process folding his wings in the meantime. Akin could smell the scent of an equine, a mare to be precise. Akin continued to walk down into the cave where the figure of the grey looking mare soon appeared. "A.. a.. an eqiune! My gosh!" Akin thought as he simply stood admiring the thought of an equine standing only a few feet away. The eagle then emerged from his little dream and back here. He shook his head violantly, the horn ontop of it made that 'whooshing' sound only heavier objects could achieve.
He cleared his throat from flem and held his head as high as he could. He ruffled his feathers slightly by movement of his wings whilst folded. Akin's eyes couldn't move from the mare, equines must be entering here fast. But, Akin had to be wise and smart if he was ever to make a good impresion. "Hellooo?" He said, making sure she was actually awake first.

Bang! Bang! Shots from a musket rang out, the first of many to follow. A shout rose from a thousand throats, splitting the air. A thousand trained soldiers moved forward in five, solid lines, muskets lifted to fire at the enemy. A general on a white mare screamed orders, commanding his men to slaughter without mercy. Then he kicked the mare, caused her to rear up and lunged into the fray. He killed as many men as his men did, with the help of the mare. A scream of pain erupted from the ivory mare with black markings as a musket's bayonet jabbed into her shoulder. The soldier on top of her spun in his saddle and shot the person who had stabbed his mare point-blank.
'Go! Go! Retreat!' the enemy cried, turning tail and fleeing with the murders of America on their heels. 'Cowards!' the good side screamed as they ruthless slaughtered them. The white mare rose on her hinds, pawing the air, tossing her head. She looked like a demon. The master yelled a war cry and again the soldiers poured after their opponents. And then it happened. Bang! The man on the white mare collapsed in his saddle then slid off, dead before he hit the blood soaked sod. His mare screamed in fury, rearing over his body, protecting him. Finally, she was forced to flee as well...
The mare jerked her skull up. She had dozed off, not meaning to and the dream had started again. Why did it still plague her, after all this time? She hated it! It was unfair that she had to watch her beloved master die over and over without being able to help him. It made her feel weak and guilty. Why hadnt she protected him? Why?! But that was not what had awoken her from her doze. It was a voice.
A voice? In this barren mountain? How odd. The black eyed vix turned her head to the entrance and saw...an eagle? How very odd. And eagle, speaking horse? Impossible...right? Then it dawned on her. This was Akin, the eagle of air, and the protector of this land. The vix leapt to her hooves and lowered her head in a bow. He may be just a messenger to Hallow, but to her, he was an icon.
'Akin, could it be? The great spirit of air?' she whispered in a soft voice. Soft but cold. A snake-like smile, sly and wicked, spread across her ivory lips. Her black-tipped tail lashed her flank with the marking on it. Black eyes bore into the eagle's, daring him to speak, daring him to meet her hypothetic gaze. Would he answer her challenge and meet her eyes? We shall see, now wont we? This could get interesting, oh yes it could.

For a while, the mare hadn't replied. Her eyes were still closed untill he spoke. Akin was tempted to shove the mare from her slumber, but would most likely get a word or two from Hallow. Akin sighed and looked down, but then a soft whisper could be heard. Akin then heard hooves clip against the rock of the cave, the mare must have awoken. Akin flicked his head upwards to see the mare bowing her head down. "Wow... noone's ever done that for a long time." Akin thought.
It had been so long since Akin had seen an equine, but for one to react with a bow seemed like Akin's dream come true. For so many years had he awaited a moment like this; and now here it was. Akin raised his head high with self-achievment as he felt her eyes bore onto him. Akin pulled back his shoulder-blades, puffing out his chest in the mean-time. A small smile began to curve upwards from his beak, but then dropped as his eyes flicked into hers. They were so intresting to look at, but Akin refrained himself from daring to look further.
He made his beady eyes go wider so that he could see the body of the mare clearer. What an intresting peltage, with eyes like that no way is she a luce. Akin made sure of that in his head. He cleared his throat once more, opening his beak to speak. "You may rise mare." He said, his tone was regal and powerful. "May I know the cursing of whom I'm acquianted with?" Akin stated, making a light cold breeze brush past his blackened feathers and past her ivory pelt.

ooh, what an arrogant little eagle this one was. Black Rain could see why Hallow only made him a messenger. The vix turned her head away, nibbling a spoke on her stomach where a bug had bit her. She also took this moment to smirk to herself. Oh yes, she could have some fun with this little bastard. Not only could she have some fun with this, but she would have some fun with this.
A charming smile slid across her maw as she walked forward, standing over him and leans down to stare him in the eye. 'You may rise, mare.' Mare, ha! We will see about that. Rain was not going to be talked down to by someone who was, well, a little on the short side. The smile turned into a smirk, cruel and mocking. 'My name is Black Rain, eagle. she said, tone mocking and cold. 'You will call me that, or nothing else.' So much for respect.
An icy laugh slid from her lips, amused by her words. She knew Akin did not do disrespect but she was unworried. She flashed him a wicked smile and trotted out into the sunlight. While he was behind her, she took a moment to smirk again. What a black sense of humor she had. Then again, war could do that to you. Her tail lashed her flanks again, the cloud and rain marking shining evilly in the light. Her beautiful pelt shone, the black spots looking like eyes.

Akin simply remained in the position that he was stood, feeling no threat from the mare at her words. This was the remarkable thing about Akin, when it came to bitchy or dick-like equines, Akin could cope well. He simply smirked too as he let the mare trot past him. Of course, being an eagle was great. You could fly around to extreme heights that no cocky mares have been too. But, on land your height wasn't that great. Equines stood much taller than you from the ground: alot taller.
Akin simply shook this off, no mare like this was going to get on Akin's nerves. The only thing that could do that was Hallow. Akin turned round to face her, only to see her rump. Akin smirked and gave a loud screeching noise that in the cave sounded worse. He stretched out his wings within an instance and gave only mighty flap in Black Rain's direction. The feathers at the end of his wings clipped together and suddenly a small huricane was forming inside the cave. The huricane spun round visciously, gaining speed and height every second. But it stopped growing in height the second almost it touched the cave's roof and walls.
The huricane was forming just behind the mare, twisting even faster. Any minute now the huricane would begin to move in the direction out of the cave, exactly where Rain was standing... Akin laughed wickedly, the mare's taste in gory humour could possibly be the end of her if she didn't move soon. The thing Akin loved most was that he could produce the most deadly huricanes, a life destorer which would suck you up to the centre and spiral you to the top. Then, the huricane would spit you out the second you reached the top, and you fly for miles depending on how big the huricane was. Then, the helpless life would be brutally murdered by colliding with whatever is on the sod's surface. Your body would be pulp, crushed bones and insides would be all that's left. Nobody can surive the huricane's wrath, it's just when Akin decides to let the beast reveal...

She listened to him screech and cause the wind to pik up. Looking over her shoulder, she noted he had made a hurricane. Oh, fun. `canes are lovely to survive. The white mare turned to eyed the eagle in amusement. As the hurricane moved closer, she smiled widely, then simply sidestepped, out of its way. She watched it in chilling amusement as it spun itself out and died.
'You see, eagle, hurricanes dont do so well over land. No matter if they are being controlled by an arrogant bastard of a spirit.' she smiled again. She leaned down to look at his horn. 'Oh, I love your horn! Where ever did you get it?' her voice dripped sarcasm, letting the words fall like acid rain onto his ears. She chuckled evilly, waiting on his response.
This was fun. She enjoyed annoying others, including stupid eagles. The best thing was, she didnt have to be respectful, because she hadnt claimed the land. And now that she knew who guarded it, she may not do so. Arching her neck, she rubbed her chin on her chest, scrathing it somewhat. Urgh, she hated bugs.

Akin shook his head in disaray, not upset just in his own humour. Akin loved the way that this mare thought so much of herself. Akin jerked his head upwards the minute she leant closer, he felt something on his horn, he hoped that it was her maw or something. Akin then rolled his eyes, her being here was the only thing annoying him. Not her words, of course not. Petty little words like her supposed to hurt and annoy? Not in the slightest.
Akin stared into her eyes, no more did they seem so 'hypnotic' as probably the stupid mare had hoped. "My horn was a prize. A prize in which is mostly used as a weapon." Akin said, ignoring her first comment on purpose in which she made. His tone of voice at the begining was more fake up-beat, but at the end it turned more to a hiss and more sinister. Akin didn't mind about the huricane, it was just a technique in which he loved to show off. The eagle continued to stare into her eyes on purpose, the effect in which the mare used it for didn't work on him. He tilted his head to the side mockingly, his horn jerking as well.

"My horn was a prize. A prize in which is mostly used as a weapon." [/b] The mocking smile spread across her lips. She had heard the story of how the 'Great Akin' had gotten his horn on her way here, when she had run into a horse that had been to Autumn Scar before. The fact that she knew gave her an advantage above him, because he clearly did not know she knew. Black Rain lifted her head away, turning away from him. Black orbs looked up at the sky. 'Akin, thats not what I heard. I heard Hallow gave it to you as a punishment. After you refused to deliver a message to the horses.' 'Message' was stressed heavily. She smirked to herself. 'So tell me, messenger, why are you here? Shouldnt you be in the Temple, with all your spirit friends?' she turned back to him, smiling widely. 'Did Hallow piss you off, calling you messenger and you came to release some anger on a poor mare?' The smile flashed in her eyes, mirth glinting in black voids. 'You should know by now, all you are is a messenger.'[/blockquote][/color]

"I know I am a messenger you stupid mare. Don't you think I should know by all of the bitchy horses like yourself constantly reminding me?!" Akin blared, the words of this mare was only annoying him slightly. The great thing about Akin, which Rain probably didn't know, was that he could act as mad as anything, when really inside he wasn't. He didn't move, his eyes watched her every move. His feathered body remained calm and not a muscle tensed.
Akin made gale-force winds to suddenly form from behind him and past Rain, showing his 'anger' through the air. Some horses could barely stand when gale-force winds appeared, the wind he was making was almost as fast as a tornado. He turned his eyes to slits then cursed by miming mouthing his beak. When Rain turned round to face him again, he stopped showing a simple straight face with his eyes still slit-like. "Listen you slut, you should know by now that all you are is a powerless mare. Locked in a body and cursed to die. And, when that time comes you sure bet, I'll be standing over you're dead body laughing at the fact you thought I could fall down to the likes of you." Akin said, his voice was stern but still inside he was as calm and as nuetral as ever. He laughed mockingly, pretending that it was the kind of laugh he would do when she dies.

The vix locked her muscles as the eagle created the wind, listening to his words but not really hearing them. He was clearly not mad about her words; he might be acting it, but it was obvious in his eyees and movements. The fae smiled coldly, turning to face him again as he began to speak once more.
'Ooh, slut, what an insult. Sprry, love, but I aint one. Plue, I aint afriad to die, never have been. When my time comes, I will welcome death with open arms.' she smiled again, amused by her own words and amused by Akin's. She wasnt one to get angry over petty insults.
'Its fun to be a bitch, eh?' she said to him, before turning and trotting away. She ahd grown bored of this talk, bored of throwing back insults to him. So she left. She needed to find a place to live permentantly, and this was not the place, that was for sure. With an inward chuckle, she trotted on.
((And you can either have him go after her and they talk somemore, or the thread will close!! xDD))
